Courtney Preiss was born on Dekalb Avenue in 1989.
Her essays and stories have been featured in print and online in publications such as American Short Fiction, Hobart, and the Austin Review, among others. She holds a BFA in Writing, Literature, + Publishing from Emerson College.
She is currently developing memoir projects around the cultural phenomenon of publicly mourning dead celebrities and being a woman in the male-dominated world of baseball fandom.
Additionally, she is a creative brand strategist at the award-winning cultural marketing agency, Team Epiphany, and a founding member of the Time’s Up movement and Time's Up Advertising.
She is represented by Taylor Templeton at Writers House.
